King, Pincher and White predict security will be top concern for 2008

Three Computer Weekly writers have said today that they think sophisticated, targeted attacks against organizations will increase  this year and that extended security should be high on the corporate agenda. Stuart King discussed the climate now as compared to the situation two years ago: “predominant targets back then were financial institutions. Today it is likely to be any organisation that values its data.”

Ian White, referring to recent government data loss, has said that “[i]f a similar debacle was uncovered with a bank, insurance or utility company, well…remember it is always the lawyers that win!”
